Offshoot Collaborations Exquisite Corpse

It was hard to start this process of collaboration, so we started with drawing Exquisite Corpses that would equalize the playing field. This was a completely blind process with no verbal clues. What was surprising to us that not only did we have similar drawing styles, but we also have so many connections in terms of duality, humor, patterning, it was as if we were mentally communicating. We put these drawings away not knowing whether they were serious enough, but these drawings led to the development of the sculptural objects. Taking the themes of duality and engagement, these objects for us came alive when activated.
